Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage reportedly dies in car accident - May 20, 2011
By Jen Chaney Randy “Mancho Man” Savage — the famous WWF and WCW Macho Man Randy Savage in 1986. (Flickr user goodrob13) wrestler known for his antics in the ring, his flashy bandanna and his “Oooooh yeahhhhh” catch phrase — has died in a car accident in Tampa, Fla. Lanny Poffo, the wrestler’s brother, told TMZ that Savage — real name Randy Mario Poffo — suffered a heart attack this morning while driving and subsequently lost control of the vehicle. His car reportedly collided with a tree. Lanny Poffo’s Web site is currently set up as a tribute to the WWF legend. Savage was 58. In addition to achieving superstar wrestling status, Savage became a cultural figure outside of that world, as the intentionally aggressive spokesman for Slim Jims and an actor who occasionally appeared in movies, most notably the first “Spider-Man” film. Savage was married to Elizabeth Ann Hulette, aka Miss Elizabeth, for many years. She also acted as his manager and was involved in several of Randy Savage’s wrestling feuds, most notably his showy showdowns with Hulk Hogan. Hulette and Savage divorced during the ‘90s, and she died in 2003. Savage married his longtime girlfriend, Lynn Payne, last year; they had recently celebrated their one-year anniversary

DON JEWELZ DROPS "PLUTONIUM" CLASSIC MATERIAL!! - March 3, 2010
Don Jewelz is the Vet you haven’t heard of yet …
In 2006 -07 he hit you with his first studio album “Turn Stylez”, a very raw hardcore underground album full of battle raps, hypnotic beats and the Don Jewelz calling card -clever wordplay. Taking lessons from that experience, (it was recorded at several different studios) he built his own studio; “the Head Quarters” and the Enferno staff went to work on the sophomore project “Plutonium”
The result was exceptional growth and maturity in both the emcee and the production. Always effortless, the distinctive voice and flow from Don Jewelz comes across more crisp and refined. Representing Dover, Delaware by way of the Bronx, Panama City and California; Don Jewelz vibe has strong New York influences and is evident the moment you press play.
He sites KRS ONE and Rakim as his biggest influences. You can hear KRS in the powerful delivery and his passion of live performances. Listen for subtle undertones of Rakim and the complex rhyme patterns, crafted stories and recited with finesse. Don Jewelz has the unique ability to flow to any beat using the voice like an instrument to actually accent the music. Don Jewelz is technically a superior emcee. If hip hop was a class he’d be the professor.
Lyrically he takes you on a journey through his world; through the eyes of a young man who’s lived on both side of the law. This young hustler, Don Jewelz also attended college. He says “these songs are like chapters in my life.” Growing up in the Bronx during the 80’s, the crack epidemic gave him a lot of visuals to draw from. Instead of gangster tales and “bling bling”, he talks about life in a way the average person can relate to it. While most mc’s are complaining about the current state of HIP-HOP, he gives you a demonstration of it in its purest form on cuts like “Sudoku” and “Fire Kiss” the latter musically sounding like something off of Tribes “The Low End Theory”. For the ladies there is “Ur the One” a mature cut for the grown & sexy. “Transporter” is a look into the crossroads of hitting the streets knowing it’s a trap, and “Mary J” finds him talking to his favorite vice, aided by the lovely voice of Lady Jewelz
Musically the album is in its own lane, while experimental, the core sound is deeply rooted in New York’s sample heavy sounds of the 90’s golden age.
SabeeL also from the Bronx handles the bulk of the production duties & attributes his influences as DJ premier, Pete Rock, RZA, and Havoc of Mobb Deep. Sabeel, mostly known for dark melodic tracks demonstrated in head banging songs like “enferno PIFF” featuring G-$tackz & “Iron Horse”. He also brightens up the landscape of the album with party songs like the SMASH single “Shots @ the Bar” featured on the radio 101.7 KISS FM in DE, “Worlds Waiting” the first full song produced by Soul Arc’s Wize Dome could be on any Ghost face album and really sets the tone, while Don explains exactly why the worlds been waiting for an album like this for so long.
J Blast adds his unique style to tracks like “Thinkin Bak” where Don reminisces about the time when he first fell in love with this music. Introducing Powell from Paris, France who blessed Don with the track for “War Storiez” a song about the ills of street life, that will encouraging you to go for what you want out of life. Keeping up with the diverse concepts of the album, he also shows he can speed up the party & tempo of the flow on the Soul Fingas produced “2-Eleven” feat. ABU
The tone of PLUTOMIUM is high energy reminiscent of the Wu-Tang clan. Don Jewelz is an emcee of extraordinary skill & unmistakable flow. Visual, intelligent, & humorous. You’ll catch a new line in every listen. If you love Hip Hop you’ll love this record!
To quote a lyric “Got nerds & 2 time felons, head banging, screw face, like they chewing on lemons, when I spit”
Guest include label mate G-$tackz, Wize Dome of Soul Arc Ent., & ABU of NDStruktable
Beats by SabeeL, J Blast, Wize Dome, Soul Fingas, & Powell
Currently working on the follow up “Nuclear Fallout” 2011 & mix tape album “International connects” produced by Powell late 2010
